The Faculty of Science in Split is a founding and one of the oldest faculties at the University of Split, a public institution that is a part of the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) Alliance. The Faculty’s primary focus is on teaching, scientific research, and professional activities within the fields of natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. Additionally, research is also conducted in the biotechnical and biomedical sciences. The Faculty adopts a multidisciplinary approach that enhances regional scientific research diversity. It emphasizes both theoretical and experimental research, enabling scientists to gain a deeper understanding of fundamental principles and develop practical applications. Research conducted at the Faculty of Science encompasses a spectrum from fundamental to applied levels, addressing both theoretical comprehension and real-world societal challenges. The Faculty actively engages in the European research arena, as evidenced by its participation in international scientific research and technology projects, along with the organization of scientific conferences and professional meetings.
THE CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCIENCE AND RELIGION (CePOZiR) OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB
The Center for the Study of the Relationship between Science and Religion (CePOZiR) is a branch of the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the University of Zagreb. It operates through two basic documents: the Rules of Procedure and the Ordinance of Operation. We are an academic platform for promoting scientific paradigms and clarifying Christian theological truths and beliefs in an academic environment. Our fundamental mission is to establish a dialogue between reason and faith. CePOZiR is not a religious/civic association and is not interested in religious/civic activism, nor is it an ecumenical initiative.
Docat Center Split is an innovative organization that aims to promote and popularize the Church’s social teachings, educate and empower young people for social engagement and participation. The association is aimed at formal and informal education of young people and students, as well as the general public. The association organizes conferences, international scientific symposia and other activities in accordance with its mission.
UNIVERSITY OF OXFORDTHE IAN RAMSEY CENTER FOR SCIENCE AND RELIGION
The IanRamsey Centre for Science and Religion (IRC) is part of the Faculty of Theology and Religion in the University of Oxford. The IRC conducts research into religious beliefs and theological concepts in relation to the sciences, and the application of scientific tools to religious phenomena.
